Project Team

Gordon Hayward

Principal Investigator (based at the University of Strathclyde).  Gordon has the overall responsibility for the project manages the Advisory Committee, aspects of the project relating to the University of Strathclyde and the dissemination strategy.

Louise Hayward

Principal Investigator (based at the University of Glasgow).  Louise has overall responsibility for the educational elements of the project.  She chairs the Operational Committee, and is responsible for the day to day running of the project.  She manages the planning and implementation of the policy strand of the programme.

Elsa Ekevall

Elsa is the full time Engineering Education Development Officer (based at the University of Glasgow). She is a member of the Operational Committee. Elsa is responsible for working with Ernie Spencer to take forward the school-based elements of the programme and the research analysis strand; with George MacBride on e-learning and with Louise Hayward and George MacBride on publicity, dissemination and sustainability.

Catrina Bryce

Catrina is the Glasgow University Electrical and Electronic Engineering Co-ordinator (based at the University of Glasgow).  Catrina advises the Operational Committee on engineering related issues and is responsible for curriculum development of the Glasgow University engineering curriculum in first and second year.

George MacBride

George is an Advisor to the Project (based at the University of Glasgow). George is secretary to the Operational Committee and Advisory Board.  He is responsible for working with Gordon Hayward, Brian Stimpson and Catriona Bryce to take forward the university elements of the programme; with Elsa Ekevall on e-learning; with Louise Hayward on project management and with Louise Hayward and Elsa Ekevall on publicity, dissemination and sustainability.

Jane Magill

Jane (based at the University of Glasgow) is a member of the Operational Committee responsible for the careers aspects of the project and links with schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. She is also responsible for linking EtF with wider Engineering related projects and communities.

Lynn Morrison

Lynn (based at the University of Strathclyde) is responsible for project administration including budgetary control. Lynn has responsibility for administration related to project personnel and the Advisory Board.

Ernie Spencer

Ernie (based at the University of Glasgow) is an Educational Consultant to the project and a member of the Operational Committee.  He has overall responsibility for the school and university collaborations and manages aspects of the project, having responsibility for the planning and implementation of the school/university strand.

Brian Stimpson

Brian is the Strathclyde University Electrical and Electronic Engineering Co-ordinator (based at the University of Strathclyde).  Brian advises the Operational Committee on engineering related issues and is responsible for curriculum development of the Strathclyde University engineering curriculum in first and second year.

Sylvia Whitelock

Sylvia (based at the University of Strathclyde) shares responsibility for project administration with Lynn.  Sylvia has responsibility for project meetings and for the annual seminar.
